We did not find a separate Texas state license for garage door work. That is not the same as "no license needed": cities may require registration or permits, and electricians are licensed separately by the state. Check your city's requirements and ask for proof of insurance.

The Texas Department of Insurance treats 14 coastal counties and parts of Harris County east of Highway 146 as a designated catastrophe area.
